How the top group is defined.
Pro Insights shows the aggregate behavior of the top 10% of Podium League competitors. This page explains how that group is measured, what data is shown, and how to opt out — written so a competitor or a regulator can both follow it.
What this is
We show how the top group plays — not who they are
Pro Insights shows aggregate holdings and allocations of the top 10% of Podium League competitors, scored by trailing 90-day time-weighted return. We never show individual identities, dollar amounts, account numbers, or any data that could reverse-engineer one competitor.
Holdings are percentages, never dollars
Every figure is a share of the player's portfolio. A 12% allocation to a ticker is the same number whether the underlying account is $500 or $500,000. Podium League does not store dollar amounts on disk.
Aggregates only — minimum 5 holders per ticker
We do not display a ticker in any aggregate unless at least 5 competitors in the top group hold it. This prevents tiny groups from indirectly identifying a single competitor.
Daily updates
Aggregates are recomputed once per day around 3am UTC. The page always shows an explicit "Data as of" timestamp. Pro Insights is intentionally not real-time.
Who counts as a top-group competitor
We score every player's trailing 90-day time-weighted return. The top decile by that score is the "top group" for the day. A competitor must clear ALL of the following to be eligible:
Opted in
Competitor turned on insights consent at signup or in Settings. Default is OFF — opting in is always a positive action.
Real connection
Connection is not a demo (the "Try without connecting" path is excluded from all aggregates).
Stable account history
Account was added, deleted, or paused more than 14 days ago — recently-changed setups can distort returns.
90 days of snapshots
Oldest daily snapshot is at least 90 days old, with 5+ unique trading days in history. The window of measurement matters.
Sector exposure (sector-specific lists only)
For sector-specific top-10 lists, the player must have at least 25% of their portfolio in that sector. Otherwise a player with 1% in tech could show up in the top tech list.
Why so strict? Without these rules, a single high-volatility week from a brand-new account could distort the leaderboard. We err on the side of fewer, more representative players.
What is never shown
- ×Individual identities of any competitor
- ×Dollar amounts of any kind
- ×Account numbers or brokerage information
- ×Any aggregate covering fewer than 20 qualified competitors
- ×Any ticker held by fewer than 5 competitors in the group
Update cadence
Aggregates are recomputed once per day at approximately 3am UTC. Every Pro Insights surface displays an explicit "Data as of" timestamp so you always know how fresh the snapshot is. Pro Insights is intentionally not real-time — the goal is competitive context, not minute-by- minute reactions.
How to opt out
Insights consent is OFF by default. You only contribute to aggregates if you explicitly turned it on at signup or in Settings. To withdraw consent at any time:
- Open your profile settings.
- Find the "Pro Insights" section.
- Toggle off "Include my anonymized portfolio data in Podium League's aggregated insights."
On withdrawal, your contribution is excluded from the next daily computation. We do not retain a separate copy of your position data after consent is withdrawn — the aggregation pipeline simply stops including you.
